What you’ll do

You’ll design and scale backend services that power our product. You’ll build APIs, improve reliability, and ensure the system remains fast and resilient as usage grows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs
• Own backend architecture and data model decisions
• Improve reliability, observability, and performance
• Collaborate with web and mobile teams on integration and delivery
• Write testable code and support a clean release process
• Participate in reviews and help shape the engineering roadmap

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years in backend engineering
• Strong expertise in at least one backend stack (Node/Java/PHP/Python/Go, etc.)
• Solid API design + database fundamentals
• Experience thinking about scalability, failures, and trade-offs
• Comfortable in a startup-style environment

Nice to have

• Cloud experience and infrastructure awareness
• Microservices or event-driven architecture
• Prior startup experience
